Course Summary

Section 1: Introduction to safeguarding

In this section your learners will learn about the aim of Prevent, then move on to look at child protection legislation, categories and signs of abuse, and child sexual exploitation.

Section 2: British Values

Within this section your learners will learn about British Values, including liberty, freedom and rights and how these are protected by law. They will learn about extreme beliefs and the importance of diversity and respect for different cultures.

Section 3: Propaganda and radicalisation

In this section your learners will learn about propaganda and radicalisation. They will look at extremist acts around the world and throughout history, how to recognise propaganda techniques online, the meaning of radicalisation and the threat of terrorism.

Entry Requirements

There are no formal entry requirements for this course. All candidates must be at least 16 years old and you will be asked to complete a short test at the start of your course that’s known as an initial assessment. This will help to decide which ESOL qualification is right for you.

Where can you take the exam?

Your final assessment is included in the cost and can be taken online. Upon successful completion, your certificate will be emailed you directly.
