PURPOSE AND AIM OF QUALIFICATIONS

The City & Guilds Level 3 Certificate in Preparing to Work in Adult Social Care aims to provide advanced training for individuals seeking to progress in the adult social care sector. This qualification deepens understanding and enhances practical skills for higher-level roles, covering leadership, safeguarding, health and safety, and person-centered care.

ENTRY REQUIREMENTS

Entry Requirements
• Candidates should not be entered for a qualification of the same type, content and level as that of a qualification they already hold.
• City & Guilds cannot accept any registrations for candidates under 16 as this qualification is not approved for under 16s.

TOTAL QUALIFICATION TIME (TQT)

Total Qualification Time (TQT) is the total amount of time, in hours, expected to be spent by a Learner to achieve a qualification. It includes both guided learning hours 190 and hours spent in preparation, study and assessment. the TQT for this course is 210.

PROGRESSION ROUTES

Gain employment as a Healthcare Assistant/Support Worker or Adult Care Worker/Personal Assistant OR progress onto the City & Guilds Level 4 Diploma in Health and social Care.
